Training
- To maximise concentration and focus for all students, watching the classes are not permitted (just like in elementary school!). However, you may book a short viewing at administration, and you will be accommodated based on availability.
- Students will behave with courtesy and respect at all times, inside and outside of the dojo.
- Higher belts will aid lower belts at all times and lower belts will follow instructions of the higher belts.
- Do not criticize other martial arts or other martial artists.
- No alcohol or drugs before class. No candy, gum or smoking while inside the dojo.
- Bow upon entering and exiting the dojo, each and every time.
- No student will provoke violence or allow oneself to be provoked into violence under the pain of possible expulsion for life from the dojo.
- No sparring without the express permission of the Sensei or a black belt.
- No loud talking, laughter or profanity is permitted. Remember, the dojo is a place of serious study.
- Under no circumstance will any form of martial arts be taught by any member to any non-member. Also, no student should teach anything to any member without the Sensei’s express permission.
- All students should refer to the head instructor as Sensei (one who has gone before), which is an honourable way of saying “teacher” in Japanese.
- Do your due diligence and give 100% effort to training whatever may be or have happened on that day. “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”.
Student enrolment fees
- All tuition fees are to be paid on time. If for some reason they cannot be paid, make the necessary arrangements with administration before the renewal or payment is due.
- Appropriate billing information must be provided.
